Growing up my bedroom did not have wallpaper or posters-it had pictures. Every inch of space was covered with pictures of friends, family, and experiences I loved. I was always taking pictures.
My love for photography grew and my style is still similar to when I was a kid. I love to capture experiences, moments, and emotions with my camera. I have a photo-journalistic style of shooting versus posed portrait shots.
A large part of my photography passion is devoted to the world of rescue work. My family says I was born with a helping gene. With a lifelong passion for animals I began my rescue work as a volunteer with Northern Illinois Weim Rescue 7 years ago. Eventually moving back to the East Coast I immediately began working with Tri-State Weimaraner Rescue. After pulling several weimaraners from Animal Care and Control in Philadelphia I realized the urgent need so close to home and signed on as a volunteer at ACCT. For 2 years I have been regularly volunteering my time at the shelter photographing the animals who desperately need it. More recently I have begun photographing the New Leash on Life program in the Philly Prisons. You can view many of these photos under my animal rescue section linked above. If you are with a shelter or rescue and interested in having photos taken please contact me to set something up. I am happy to donate my time.
